      Volunteer Workshop Facilitator

 

Are you an enthusiastic and skilled workshop facilitator instructor who is passionate about helping women? Have you always dreamed of taking part in the growth of an innovative non-profit?

We are seeking top-notch workshop facilitators for our programs!

 

We are looking for Volunteer Workshop Facilitators in the following areas:

  • Communication-  help build awareness and skills, cultivate confidence, and teach concrete tools and techniques to help women communicate more effectively and help flourish in all personal and professional relationships.
  • Financial Fitness-  help women establish financial independence, self-sufficiency,

And gain a greater understanding of personal finances so they can take charge of their financial future.

  • Healthy Woman- provide information, education, and resources on topics important to the physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
  • Job Readiness-enhance their skills for successfully identifying a career path, conducting a job search, and obtaining employment.
  • Career Advancement- helping to hone essential skills for changing, enhancing, and advancing their current career situation.
  • Legal Information-provide education on domestic relations/family law in the state of Mississippi and to help prepare for self-representation in court.
  • Life Skills- provide information and resources to enhance knowledge, skill sets, and connections in all realms of life: self, family and community.

Desired Skills and Experience
 

 Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, as well as presentation • Ability to effectively apply counseling knowledge • Ability to assess barriers, develop action plans, and assist clients in problem solving and attaining goals • Efficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook • Vehicle required for travel to meetings and interviews  

 

Education: • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a related field, such as social services or education. Completion of secondary school and several years’ experience related to career counselling may replace formal education. • Minimum of two years’ experience preferred. Board Members - we are seeking serious-minded and committed individuals with a heart to serve, to help take us to the next level!

Grant writer and/or grant researcher: Assist with grant writing, research and/or grant review for various requests for proposals. 

Newsletter Aide: Assist with all phases of creating a newsletter, including but not limited to help with writing articles, creating artwork and/or pix, gathering poetry and other data for newsletter 

Web Designer: Assist with web additions/enhancements, also working with web optimization. 

Marketing Assistant: Assist our marketing team with calls generated to expand our programs; assisting with PowerPoints, designing flyers, process mass mailings for special events, etc.
